Currently we do not have any official openings, however, we are always interested in hearing from talented students that are thinking about joining the Boston College graduate program or postdoctoral fellows with a PhD in microbiology, computer science, bioinformatics, biophysics or related discipline.

NB. The philosophy of the lab is that we are looking for novel ideas and thus are really interested in creative people with an incredibly strong willingness and ability to learn rather than only in people with specific experience in the topics studied in the lab.

Thus, if you are convinced you can play a significant role in the lab then do not hesitate to send a cover letter, a letter describing your professional interests and ambitions, a curriculum vitae and contact information for at least two references to Dr. van Opijnen's assistant Patrick Uyesaka (uyesaka@bc.edu).

If you are an undergraduate student and looking to gain research experience please send an email explaining your interests and your resume to Dr. van Opijnen's assistant Patrick Uyesaka (uyesaka@bc.edu) and ask him to set-up an appointment to discuss the possibilities.
